I think if, through some catastrophe, Radiohead somehow became the last band on earth, I could live with it, and I don't think there's another band I'd say that about. at the time i had downloaded it for a friend who was a big radiohead fan, was on dialup and lived in another state. In 2007 Radiohead changed the face of the record industry by allowing users name their own price before downloading the new 'In Rainbows' al. The songs themselves are quite complex and many use weird time signatures that would throw lesser musicians, but they make it look easy. a few years ago i had downloaded a radiohead bootleg 10 disc box set called 'towering above the rest complete'. Meanwhile, Phil Selway is just an amazingly precise and consistent drummer and Colin Greenwood is equally solid on bass. In Rainbows is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Radiohead.It was self-released on 10 October 2007 as a pay-what-you-want download, followed by a physical release internationally through XL Recordings and in North America through TBD Records. Depending on the song they might have as few as one guitar or as many as three, and Jonny can switch from playing lead guitar to keyboard in the same song. 'Bodysnatchers' has a cool scream towards the end, and the stripped down versions of 'Videotape' and 'All I Need' arent to be missed. Thom and Jonny can easily play keyboards and/or guitar very well indeed, and Ed O'Brien can also switch over to keyboards as needed. Highlight: The audio from this set is well worth having. The band (particularly Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood) are SO talented and versatile that they are able to produce incredibly rich and layered sounds even live in a studio. I have been a huge Radiohead fan since at least 1995 or so, but I find this show especially fascinating. As I recall this is the live performance they webcast around the time In Rainbows came out (but obviously in HD with 5.1 surround, rather than in a window in your web browser).
